The RADIONAV radio navigation system incorporates the radio and CD Audio and CD MP3 player See E3510 RADIO The navigation system is equipped with: - SD card reader - GPS module - independent navigation module with maps - 6.5" TFT colour monitor - interface with the controls on the steering wheel
The RADIONAV is a system with road maps makes it possible to determine the position of the vehicle on the map at any time (for both urban and extra-urban/motorway road networks) showing it on the radio navigator display. In this way the driver is guided step-by-step to the required destination, by means of voice messages and visual information. The system also provides additional information for reaching general services, namely: hotels, car parks, restaurants, pharmacies, service stations, hospitals, ALFA ROMEO workshops, railway stations, airports, etc. The navigation system uses GPS (Global Positioning System) satellite location technology and is inside the radio navigation unit. The navigation maps are on a special SD card. The GPS consists of an aerial that allows the vehicle to be GPS satellite-located: the aerial is connected to a receiver located in the integrated unit by means of a special shielded cable. The GSM aerial is connected to the GSM unit inside the control unit used for the connection of GPRS data for services such as traffic in real time, navigation, etc. The stylus aerial is fitted at the rear of the roof: it performs three functions (radio, GSM and GPS) because it also incorporates the radio aerial (FM1). Vehicle position is identified by analysing GPS data together with speedometer and reverse gear signals received from the vehicle. The Blue&Me system allows mobile phones to be used on board the vehicle safely. - Bluetooth receiver; - integral "Voice Recognition" unit including microphone (located next to the front roof light); - Text to Speech integrated module; - USB interface for Media Player. The control unit that manages the entire system is also connected to radio controls on the steering wheel (there are two special buttons for this function in addition to the radio control buttons). The entire operation of the system is also managed by voice commands, received by the microphone near the front roof light. The radio navigation unit and the Bluetooth control unit are two CAN nodes through which information is exchanged with the Body Computer and with the other electronic units. On the Blue&Me Nav version, there are two additional control buttons in the trim in front of the centre roof light:- SOS: access to Roadside Assistance Services- Info: access to infomobility services For more details on the operation of the system See descriptions 5580M ON-BOARD NAVIGATOR |

Bluetooth control unit M162 is supplied directly at pin 16 from the battery via the line for fuse F36 of the Body Computer M1. Bluetooth control unit M162 receives an ignition-controlled supply at pin 32 via the line for fuse F51 of the Body Computer M1. Pin 15 of M162 is earthed. The CAN line that connects the Bluetooth control unit M162 to the radio navigator P20, the Body Computer M1, the instrument panel E50 and the other system nodes reaches pins 14 and 30 of M162. The Body Computer M001 is connected to the radio controls on the steering wheel via the clock spring D047: pin 35 of connector D provides the reference earth at pin 6 of D047; pin 52 of connector D of M001 receives the signals from the buttons to the right of the steering wheel, whilst pin 50 of connector D of M001 receives the signals from the buttons to the left of the steering wheel. The Body Computer M001 - connector A - receives a direct power supply from the battery through the line protected by maxi fuse F01 of the engine compartment junction unit B001. The Body Computer M001 receives an ignition-controlled (INT) power supply at pin 11 of connector E, whilst pin 9 of connector E of M001 provides the Body Computer with a reference earth. The Bluetooth control unit M162 is connected to the radio navigation system P20 - connector B - from pins 5, 22 and 21 with the AUX left, AUX right and AUX earth signals. The Media Player USB - AUX socket P157 is connected to the Bluetooth control unit M162, at pins 3, 4, 19, 20 and 31 respectively, with signals: signal D+, reference earth, signal D-, 5V power supply and shielding. The hands-free microphone P26 is connected to pins 8 and 24 of M162. The aerial is located in P25a (stylus aerial on the roof FM1. GSM and GPS) connected to the radio navigator and to the Bluetooth control unit by means of the coaxial cables. |
