The headlamp washer device cleans the headlamp lenses as the windscreen is being cleaned. The headlamp washer function is managed by the Body Computer which automatically activates the headlamp washer, with the dipped headlamps on, when the windscreen washers are activated through the lever on the right of the steering wheel. The headlamp washer consists of a pump that sends detergent to two nozzles located in the bumpers which spray a powerful jet onto the headlamps. A timer activates the headlamp washer pump by means of a series of pulses lasting about half a second. The headlamp washer circuit is protected by a fuse and governed by a special relay located in the engine compartment junction unit. |

Relay switch T10 in the engine compartment junction unit B001 is supplied by the line for fuse F09 in the engine compartment junction unit B1, whilst the energising is, in turn, supplied by the ignition-operated (INT) line protected by fuse F51 of M001. The Body Computer M001 - connector A - receives a direct powr supply from the battery through the line protected by maxi fuse F01 of the engine compartment junction unit B001. The Body Computer M001 receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT) at pin 11 of connector E. Pin 9 of connector E of M001 provides the Body Computer with a reference earth. Relay T10 is energized by a control signal coming from pin 23 of connector B of M001 and, as a result, directly activates the pump for the headlamp washer N025; this signal is sent, on the basis of the positive screen washer request signal coming from steering column switch unit H005 - pin 5, to pin 55 of connector D of M001 in the presence of the dipped headlamps on enablement (pin 38 of connector D of M001).
