STEP	CHECK TO BE CARRIED OUT	SOLUTION IF CHECK IS NOT OK
1	Relay fitting check Check correct and complete fitting of the relay in the engine compartment fuse box	Refit the relay correctly
2	Check relay coil resistance measurement Measure the ohm resistance of the coil between terminals 85-86, with relay dismantled, using a multimeter. Compare the ohm value measured with the values in Table 1	Replace the relay
3	Check the load ohm resistance of the relay Measure the load ohm resistances on the relay with a multimeter and a 12 V dc power supply unit. Relay switch (SPST): terminals 30-87; Remote control switch (SPDT): terminals 30-87 and terminals 30-87a. Compare the ohm value measured with the values in Table 2	Replace the relay
