Check that there are no external hindrances to key rotation

Example: incorrect position of the steering column cover

If the steering column cover interferes, remove the steering column cover and go to Step 2

Check whether the key can be turned freely

Check that there are no external hindrances to key rotation without steering column cover

1. The key can rotate freely. Refit the steering column cover and take care that it no longer interferes with the key rotation after fitting.

2. Key rotation is difficult, replace the steering lock

   Op. 5520A14 IGNITION KEY LOCK BARREL - R+R

and the fixing bracket and position the latter correctly (Fig.1)
