Fuel mode switch operation check

Refuel with LPG, turn the ignition key to MAR and start the vehicle; position the gas/petrol fuel switch in "petrol" position, check that all the 4 green LEDs for "fuel level" are on and that the "petrol" orange LED is on.

Place the "gas/petrol" switch on "G" and wait a few seconds until the green LED "G" switches on.

If all the LEDs switch on, the test is completed.

 

1) All the LEDs do not switch on and the vehicle does not switch to gas, go to Step 2

2) 1 or more green LEDs for fuel do not switch on, replace the switch

3) After placing the switch on GAS position, the green LED "G" does not switch on and the orange LED "petrol" remains on. Check the correct operation of the Powertrain Control Module.

4) After placing the switch on "GAS" both green LED "G" and orange LED "petrol" are off. Replace the switch

Check the correct connection of the fuel mode switch connector to the vehicle wiring

Check that the fuel mode switch connector is properly connected to the vehicle wiring

 

Restore the correct connection of the fuel mode switch connector to the wiring

Fuel mode switch connector operation check

Check if any cable is detached from the fuel mode switch connector

 

Replace the fuel switch
