1	With the ignition key in the ON position, check for the presence at Pin 5 of the headlamp alignment corrector front potentiometer connector See K001 HEADLAMP ALIGNMENT FRONT POTENTIOMETER of a voltage of 5 V. Move on to Step 5	Move on to Step 2
2	If there are faults, restore the continuity of the wiring between the headlamps and the front potentiometer See E3080 HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR The test can be considered over	Move on to Step 3
3	Check that, with the ignition in the ON position, there is a voltage of 5 V at pin 1 of the left headlamp	Replace the left headlamp Op. 5540B81 LEFT GAS DISCHARGE LIGHT CLUSTER - R.R.
4	Check that, with the ignition in the ON position, there is a voltage of 5 V at pin 1 of the right headlamp	Replace the right headlamp Op. 5540B82 RIGHT GAS DISCHARGE LIGHT CLUSTER - R.R.
5	Check that the fault has disappeared. The test can be considered over	Replace the headlamp control unit Op. 5540B40 CONTROL UNIT IN LEFT GAS DISCHARGE LIGHT CLUSTER - R.R. Op. 5540B41 CONTROL UNIT IN RIGHT GAS DISCHARGE LIGHT CLUSTER - R.R.
6	With the ignition key in the ON position, check for the presence at Pin 5 of the headlamp alignment corrector rear potentiometer connector See K002 HEADLAMP AGLINMENT REAR POTENTIOMETER of a voltage of 5 V. Move on to Step 9	Move on to Step 7
7	If there are faults, restore the continuity of the wiring between the headlamps and the rear potentiometer See E3080 HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR The test can be considered over	Move on to Step 8
8	Check that, with the ignition in the ON position, there is a voltage of 5 V at pin 6 of the left headlamp. Move on to Step 4	Replace the left headlamp Op. 5540B81 LEFT GAS DISCHARGE LIGHT CLUSTER - R.R.
9	Check Pin 1 of the potentiometer connector See K001 HEADLAMP ALIGNMENT FRONT POTENTIOMETER for the presence of a negative signal. Move on to Step 11	Move on to Step 10
10	If there are faults, restore the continuity of the wiring between the headlamps and the rear potentiometer See E3080 HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR The test can be considered over	Move on to Step 11
11	Check that, with the ignition in the ON position, there is an earth signal at pin 5 of the left headlamp. Move on to Step 4	Replace the left headlamp Op. 5540B81 LEFT GAS DISCHARGE LIGHT CLUSTER - R.R.
12	Check Pin 1 of the potentiometer connector See K002 HEADLAMP AGLINMENT REAR POTENTIOMETER for the presence of a negative signal. Move on to Step 14	Move on to Step 13
13	If there are faults, restore the continuity of the wiring between the headlamps and the rear potentiometer See E3080 HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR The test can be considered over	Move on to Step 14
14	Turn the ignition to the ON position. Disconnect the connecting rod from the front sensor. Connect a voltmeter between pin 11 of the 6-way connector for the left headlamp and an earth. Check that the sensor voltage varies between 0.5 and 4.5 V when the moving axle is rotated manually. Move on to Step 16	Move on to Step 15
15	If there are faults, restore the continuity of the wiring between the left headlamp and the front potentiometer See E3080 HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR The test can be considered over	Replace the sensor Op. 5540C42 SENSOR FOR CORRECTING/ALIGNING GAS DISCHARGE LIGHT CLUSTERS ON FRONT SUSPENSION - R.R.
16	Turn the ignition key to the ON position. Disconnect the connecting rod from the rear sensor. Connect a voltmeter between pin 11 of the 6-way connector for the right headlamp and an earth. Check that the sensor voltage varies between 0.5 and 4.5 V when the moving axle is rotated manually. The test can be considered over	Move on to Step 17
17	If there are faults, restore the continuity of the wiring between the right headlamp and the front potentiometer See E3080 HEADLAMP AGLINMENT CORRECTOR The test can be considered over	Replace the sensor Op. 5540C42 SENSOR FOR CORRECTING/ALIGNING GAS DISCHARGE LIGHT CLUSTERS ON FRONT SUSPENSION - R.R.
