Refitting

   Op. 7015A04 TAILGATE INTERIOR PANEL - R+R

1. Disconnect the electrical connections (1a, 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e).

2. Disconnect all the retainers connecting the electrical wiring to the tailgate frame.

3. Release the tailgate frame duct seal (3a).

4. Fit a probe to the end (4a) of the electrical wiring branch for the third brake light and the rearscreen washer jet pipe; fit a probe to the end (4b) of the electrical wiring for the tailgate; then extract the electrical wiring from the tailgate frame, via the opening created by the duct seal (3a) leaving the probes in place of the wiring (to be used for refitting the wiring during the refitting stage).

- Support the tailgate during the subsequent removal stages.

1. Undo the bolts fixing the tailgate hinges.

1. Use a screwdriver (1a) to prise open the retaining clips (1b) on the upper ends of both telescopic struts (1c) (without detaching them).

2. Remove the tailgate.

Removing

- Check that the tailgate is not damaged.

- Position the tailgate and support it.

- Connect the upper ends of the telescopic struts, then fit the retaining clips.

- Screw in the bolts for the hinges without tightening them (for adjusting the tailgate later on).

- Fit the electrical wiring in the tailgate frame using the probes left during the removal stage.

- Attach the bulkhead coupling seal to the tailgate frame opening.

- Connect all the for the electrical wiring to the tailgate frame.

- Connect the electrical connections.
