Removing ( Refitting )

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Mark the position of the adjustment nut and then loosen it at least two or three turns to ensure that the cables are completely loosened.

1. Unscrew the brake-clutch fluid reservoir plug and fit the tool.

1. Adjust the lever and disconnect the handbrake cable from the brake caliper and the intermediate fastenings.

- Carry out the same operations for the right handbrake cable.

1. Undo the bolt and remove the ABS wheel rpm sensor.

- Proceed in the same way for the right ABS wheel rpm sensor.

1. Disconnect the rear brake pipe intermediate connector.

2. Undo the toothed washer securing the fuel tank heat shield.

1. Undo the nut (1a) and disconnect the connecting rod for the sensor for correcting the gas discharge light clusters (1b).

- Prepare the equipment for removing-refitting the rear suspension axle as described below.

1. Fit the support (1a) on the column lift (1b).

- If the above hydraulic lift is not available, use a general hydraulic lift plus the adaptor shown in the drawing, which must be made up by the workshop to allow the use of the above frames

(*): Adjust the diameter of the adapator shank according to the hydraulic lift used.

1. Support the rear suspension axle using the tool (1a) prepared previously, taking care that the adaptors (1b) are positioned in the axle-body centering openings as illustrated.

2. Undo the bolts (2a) securing the axle support to the body and remove the axle assembly (2b).

The stages for the left side components are described below. Carry out the same operations for the right side components.

1. Release the clip (1a), undo the connector (1b) and remove the flexible brake fluid pipe (1c).

- Remove the spacer locking the axle support.

3. Remove the axle support.

Refitting ( Removing )

- Before refitting the rear suspension axle check that there are no cracks or distortions. If there are, replace it.

The stages for the left side components are described below. Carry out the same operations for the right side components.

- Place the connecting rod for the front sensor for correcting the gas discharge light clusters in position and tighten the nut.

Reset the position of the headlamps using an Examiner or other diagnostic instrument.
