Refitting

- Drain the coolant.

   Op. 0010T84 AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM REFRIGERANT - DEHYDRATING AND REPRESSURIZING

   Op. 7055B56 RIGHT SIDE UNDER-ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD

   Op. 7055B55 LEFT SIDE UNDER ENGINE PROTECTION GUARD RR

   Op. 7210E10 R.R. FRONT BUMPER

1. Undo the bolt (1a) and disconnect the pipe connectors (1b) and (1c) from the condenser (1d).

Seal the connectors that have been disconnected using suitable plugs to prevent dampness and impurities from entering the system.

2. Undo the bracket retaining bolt

3. Move the pipes aside.

- Work on both sides of the vehicle.

1. Disconnect the electric wiring retainer clips (1b) from the expendable crossbar (1a).

2. Undo the bolts fixing the expendable crossmember to the bodyshell.

3. Undo the nuts securing the expendable crossmember to the front end.

4. Remove the crossmember.

1. If necessary, separate the shock absorber cushion (1a) from the crossmember (1b).

Removing

PARTICOLARI DA SOSTITUIRE SISTEMATICAMENTE

- Check that the crossmember is not damaged.

- If removed, fit the shock absorber cushion on the crossmember.

1. Position the crossmember.

2. Screw the nuts fastening the expendable crossmember to the front end and tighten them at the specified torque.

3. Screw in the bolts securing the expendable crossmember to the body and tighten them to the specified torque.

4. Connect the electric wiring retainer clips (4b) to the expendable crossbar.

Replace the O-rings for the connectors. Only use green coloured seals that are resistant to R134A coolant. Lubricate the connector threads using anti-freeze.

1. Arrange the pipes (1a) then connect the pipe fittings (1c) and (1d) to the condenser.

2. Tighten the bolt to the recommended torque.

3. Tighten the bracket retaining bolt.

- Repressurize the coolant.

Refitting

- Drain the coolant.

Removing

- Check that the crossmember is not damaged.

- If removed, fit the shock absorber cushion on the crossmember.

1. Position the crossmember.

2. Screw the nuts fastening the expendable crossmember to the front end and tighten them at the specified torque.

3. Screw in the bolts securing the expendable crossmember to the body and tighten them to the specified torque.

4. Connect the electric wiring retainer clips (4b) to the expendable crossbar.

1. Arrange the pipes (1a) then connect the pipe fittings (1c) and (1d) to the condenser.

2. Tighten the bolt to the recommended torque.

3. Tighten the bracket retaining bolt.

- Repressurize the coolant.
