Refitting

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

   Op. 4450B02 LEFT FRONT WHEEL - R.R.

1. Using a suitable tool, remove the staking from the wheel hub fixing nut.

1. Fit the tool (1a) and undo the wheel hub fixing nut (1b).

1. Undo the nut (1a) securing the steering link (1b) to the steering knuckle (1c).

1. Fit the tool (1a) and disconnect the steering rod (1b) from the steering knuckle.

1. Undo the bolt, remove the wheel rpm sensor for the A.B.S. and move it aside.

1. Undo the bolt securing the steering knuckle to the front suspension lower track control arm.

2. Undo the bolts securing the front shock absorber to the steering knuckle.

1. Remove the steering knuckle-wheel hub assembly from its housing.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the brake disc guard (1b).

1. Using a hydraulic press and suitable tool (1a), remove the front wheel hub (1b) from the steering knuckle (1c).

- Position the front wheel steering knuckle in a vice fitted with protective jaws.

1. Remove the front wheel hub bearing circlip.

1. Remove the front wheel hub bearing from the steering knuckle (1a) using a hydraulic press and suitable tool (1b).

1. Fit a new wheel hub bearing on the front steering knuckle (1a) using a hydraulic press and tool (1b).

1. Place the front wheel hub circlip in position taking care to make sure that its opening is aligned with the A.B.S. wheel rpm sensor fitting opening (a).

1. Fit the wheel hub (1b) on the front steering knuckle (1a) using a hydraulic press and tool (1c).

- Fit the brake disc guard in position and tighten the bolts.

1. Place the steering knuckle-wheel hub assembly in its housing.

1. Tighten the new bolts fixing the front shock absorber to the steering knuckle to the recommended torque.

To tighten to torque, position the torque wrench on the nut and not on the bolt.

2. Tighten the new bolt fixing the steering knuckle to the front suspension lower track control arm to the recommended torque.

1. Place the A.B.S. wheel rpm sensor in its housing and tighten the bolt to the recommended torque.

- Connect the steering link to the steering knuckle.

1. Tighten the new nut (1a) securing the steering link (1b) to the steering knuckle (1c).

1. Fit the tool (1a) and tighten the new wheel hub fixing nut (1b) to the recommended torque.

1. Stake the nut fixing the wheel hub as described below.
