The radio adopts the new “Uconnect” technology: a multifunction system which can manage all the main media contents on the car: radio, mobile phone, Media Player, navigator, iPod or smartphone, and allows the driver to access them easily, quickly and safely, without taking their hands off the wheel or distracting them from the road. The system includes an advanced Bluetooth interface, which allows access to additional functions such as: - phone call management - reading of the SMSs received with text-to-speech technology, - Audio Streaming system, which allows music files and web radio to be streamed from the smartphone directly onto the radio, via Bluetooth. The radio, which manages the entire system, is also connected to the radio controls on the steering wheel (there are two dedicated buttons for this function in addition to the radio control buttons). The entire operation of the system is also managed by voice commands, received by the microphone near the front roof light. |

The radio P020 receives a direct battery power supply - pin 44 - through the line for fuse F36 of the Body Computer M001. Pin 43 of P020 is earthed. The CAN reaches pin 12 and 2 of radio P020 and connects it to the Body Computer M001 and the other system nodes. The Body Computer M001 is connected to the radio controls on the steering wheel through the clock spring D047: pin 53 of connector H provides the reference earth at pin 6 of D047; pin 51 of connector H of M001 receives the signals from the buttons to the right of the steering wheel, whilst pin 38 of connector H of M001 receives the signals from the buttons to the left of the steering wheel. The Body Computer M001 - connector A - receives a direct power supply from the battery through the line protected by maxi fuse F01 of the engine compartment junction unit B001. The Body Computer M001 receives an ignition-operated power supply (INT) at pin 2 of connector G: this signal is used, amongst other things, to "wake up the network". Pin 11 of connector G of M001 provides the Body Computer with a reference earth. USB port P157 of connector B is connected to radio P020 - connector B. The socket also receives ignition-operated power supply (INT) - for its lighting - at pin 8 of connector A through the line of fuse F49 of Body Computer M001. Hands-free microphone P026 is connected to pins 29 and 30 of P020. |
