The vehicle is equipped with a white reverse light located in the rear bumper, on the right (on the left on right hand drive versions). It is activated each time reverse gear is engaged: this information is received - on versions with manual gearbox - through a switch located on the outside of the gearbox casing. The reversing lights circuit is supplied by an ignition-operated relay and protected by a dedicated fuse in the Body Computer. The reverse engagement signal is also sent to the steering column switch unit for the automatic operation of the rear window wiper, to the electrochromic rear view mirror and to the Powertrain Control Module; in addition via the CAN to the Body Computer which forwards this information to the parking sensor control unit etc. See E3021 REAR WINDOW WASH/WIPE See E3032 DOOR MIRROR ADJUSTMENT See E3090 PARKING SENSOR |

The switch for the reversing lights I020 receives an ignition-operated (INT) from the fuse line F51 of the Body Computer M001. The Body Computer M001 - connector A - receives a direct power supply from the battery through the line protected by maxi fuse F01 of the engine compartment junction unit B001. The Body Computer M001 receives an ignition-controlled power supply (INT) at pin 11 of connector E. Pin 9 of connector E of M001 provides the Body Computer with a reference earth. When reverse gear is engaged, the switch closes and sends a power supply to the reversing light in the light cluster F033. The signal that reverse gear is engaged is also acquired by the Powertrain Control Module M010 and is sent from there to the Body Computer and the other nodes involved via the CAN. |
