Check for correct adjustment or loosening of the reaction/transmission mechanisms

Go to Step 2

Wrong adjustment/loosening of the reaction/transmission mechanisms

Loosen the system to unlock and disengage the handbrake lever and check its condition.

Carry out the adjustment, carry out some test manoeuvres to settle the whole system. Check the correct operation again and, if necessary, repeat the adjustment until the desired performance is obtained.

Check for deformation of the lever body with the system engaged, caused by impacts or moving objects inside the passenger compartment

Lever body deformation

Loosen the system to unlock and disassemble the lever

Replace the handbrake lever assembly
