Connect the diagnosis equipment to check whether there are error codes consistent with a fault related to an actuator malfunction.

Faults related to actuator malfunction have been identified

Go to Step 2

Check whether the electrical wiring connections are loose. Detach/reattach the connection on the actuator side and on the control support side. Check whether the error is still present

The fault occurs again

Go to Step 3

Check the operation activating the function that the actuator should carry out manually. With the engine running, switch on the passenger compartment heater fan at the maximum speed and place the flaps in the various distribution positions using the control/control unit (in manual mode). Check the air flow in the passenger compartment by placing your hand on the vents.

The recirculation actuator is not working correctly

Go to Step 4

Check whether there is a mechanical blockage/breakage of the flaps in the mixing actuator

Go to Step 5

Presence of mechanical blockages on the mixing actuator

Remove the mechanical blockages/Replace the actuator

Check that the passenger compartment heater is working correctly

The passenger compartment heater is not working correctly

Restore correct operation of/replace the passenger compartment heater

Check operation of the climate control system control unit

The climate control system control unit is not working correctly

Replace the climate control unit
