Connect the diagnostic equipment (Examiner or other instruments) to the diagnostic socket.

Check:

  • for faults in the air bag control unit;

  • the plausibility of all the parameters

 

Move on to Step 2

 

1. No communication with the control unit

2. Error detected in the control unit

 

1. Restore:

a) connection between the Air Bag control unit and diagnostic connector;

b) Air Bag control unit power supply

2. Continue following the instructions on the diagnostic equipment

Check, in active diagnosis, that the passenger Air Bag disabled warning light is working correctly.

 

End of diagnosis

 

The warning light does not flash

 

Replace the Instrument Panel

 Op. 5560B10 CONTROL PANEL - R+R

The warning lights take the form of LEDs built into the electronic circuit and are NOT therefore replaceable

On starting, the passenger Air Bag disabled warning light comes on and remains on for longer than 4 seconds (execution of control unit initial test)

Check in the Set-Up Menu that the switch is in the OFF position, the warning light should remain on.
