Rear ultrasound sensor power supply check

• Turn the ignition key to the ON position

• Engage reverse gear

• Connect a voltmeter with the positive probe at pin 1 and the negative probe to earth and check that there is a positive voltage of 12 V

• Move on to Step 2

• Restore the wiring between the parking sensor control unit and the sensor concerned. If the power supply is present, replace the sensor. If the supply is interrupted at the control unit outlet, replace the parking sensor control unit

Earth check

• Connect the voltmeter with the red probe at pin 3 and the positive probe to earth and check that the voltage is between 0 and 1 Volt.

• Move on to Step 3

• Restore the interrupted wiring between the control unit and the sensor concerned.

• Replace the parking sensor control unit

Ultrasound signal check

• Turn the key to the ON position

• Connect the voltmeter with the positive probe at pin 2 and the negative probe to earth.

• Press the START button on the Examiner. The figures in the image that appears must be evaluated with a tolerance of about 20%. They should in any case be similar to the graph in the diagram.

• Replace the faulty sensor(s)

• Replace the parking sensor control unit
