Refitting

1. Open the tailgate and support it.

2. Using a screwdriver (2a), release the retaining clips (2a) (without removing them) at both ends of the telescopic strut.

3. Remove the telescopic strut releasing it from the ball pins.

1. If necessary, undo the ball pins from the tailgate.

Removing

- Check that the telescopic strut is not damaged.

- If removed, screw in the ball pins on the tailgate and tighten them to the recommended torque.

- Refit the telescopic strut, press fitting the ends in the ball pins.

- Fit the retaining clips.

- Check that the telescopic strut is working properly and supporting the tailgate correctly.
