   Op. 5040D94 AIR CONDITIONING LEFT UPPER AIR DISTRIBUTION FLAP CONTROL MOTOR (DEFROST) - R.R.

1. Working on the left part of the air conditioning casing, disconnect the electrical connection for the left distribution motor.

2. Unscrew the bolts securing the motor carrier plate.

3. Move the plate with the motor, releasing the coupling for the actual motor.

1. Remove the cam.

1. Remove the toothed wheel.

2. Using a screwdriver, release the retainer (2a) and remove the toothed sector (2b).

3. Using a screwdriver, release the retainer (3a) and remove the linkage (3b).

1. Release the retainers (1a) and remove the toothed wheel (1b).

1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the sensor.

2. Extract the sensor (2a) from the seat (2b) releasing the retainers (2c) and the position tab (2d) from the seat.

3. Keep the sensor.

1. Release the terminal (1a) for the inner flange (1b) from the rod (1c), then extract it.

2. Release the rod (1c) and remove it.

Removing

- Check that the various gear train components are not damaged.

- Renew the grease on the teeth and the moving parts of the gear train.

Use special grease for plastic.

1. Fit the rod (1a) and attach the lower terminal.

2. Fit the inner flange (2a), then attach the terminal (2b) to the rod (1a).

1. Fit the sensor (1a) and attach the tab (1b) and the retainers (1c).

2. Connect the electrical connection for the sensor.

1. Place the toothed wheel (1a) in the compulsory position, then attach the retainers (1b).

1. Place the linkage (1a) in the compulsory position, then attach the retainer (1b).

2. Place the toothed sector (2a) in the compulsory position, then attach the retainer (2b).

3. Place the toothed wheel in the compulsory position.

1. Place the cam in the compulsory position.

1. Position the plate with the motor and attach the coupling for the actual motor in the compulsory position.

2. Tighten the bolts securing the motor carrier plate.

3. Connect the electrical connection for the left distribution motor.

- Remove both front pillar trims.

1. Working on the left part of the air conditioning casing, disconnect the electrical connection for the left distribution motor.

2. Unscrew the bolts securing the motor carrier plate.

3. Move the plate with the motor, releasing the coupling for the actual motor.

1. Remove the cam.

1. Remove the toothed wheel.

2. Using a screwdriver, release the retainer (2a) and remove the toothed sector (2b).

3. Using a screwdriver, release the retainer (3a) and remove the linkage (3b).

1. Release the retainers (1a) and remove the toothed wheel (1b).

1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the sensor.

2. Extract the sensor (2a) from the seat (2b) releasing the retainers (2c) and the position tab (2d) from the seat.

3. Keep the sensor.

1. Release the terminal (1a) for the inner flange (1b) from the rod (1c), then extract it.

2. Release the rod (1c) and remove it.

Removing

- Check that the various gear train components are not damaged.

- Renew the grease on the teeth and the moving parts of the gear train.

Use special grease for plastic.

1. Fit the rod (1a) and attach the lower terminal.

2. Fit the inner flange (2a), then attach the terminal (2b) to the rod (1a).

1. Fit the sensor (1a) and attach the tab (1b) and the retainers (1c).

2. Connect the electrical connection for the sensor.

1. Place the toothed wheel (1a) in the compulsory position, then attach the retainers (1b).

1. Place the linkage (1a) in the compulsory position, then attach the retainer (1b).

2. Place the toothed sector (2a) in the compulsory position, then attach the retainer (2b).

3. Place the toothed wheel in the compulsory position.

1. Place the cam in the compulsory position.

1. Position the plate with the motor and attach the coupling for the actual motor in the compulsory position.

2. Tighten the bolts securing the motor carrier plate.

3. Connect the electrical connection for the left distribution motor.
