Refitting

- Work on both sides.

   Op. 7040A65 CONSOLE SIDE CLOSING (ONE) - R.R.

1. Working on both rear panels (1a), undo the bolts (1b), then remove the retaining stud (1c) using the special tool.

1. Remove the gear lever surround sound insulation.

1. Detach the electrical connections (1a, 1b).

2. Disconnect the wiring branch (2a) from the retainers (2b).

1. Detach the electrical connections (1a, 1b) for the Air Bag control unit.

2. Disconnect the two earths.

1. Working on the lower right side of the air conditioning casing, disconnect the earth.

1. Working under the right side of the dashboard, release the carpet retaining button using the special too.

2. Disconnect the condensation drainage pipe (2a) from the air conditioning casing (2b) after having released the retainer (2c).

1. Undo the accelerator pedal end of travel buffer.

2. Release the carpet retaining stud using the special tool.

3. Disconnect the retainers (3a) for the wiring branch (3b).

1. Remove the floor carpet (1a) releasing it from the side panels (1b).

Removing

- Check that the floor carpet is not damaged.

- Position the floor carpet and attach it to the side panels.

- Working in the area of the tunnel, connect the retainers for the wiring branch.

- Working under the left side of the dashboard, attach the carpet retaining stud.

- Tighten the accelerator pedal end of travel buffer.

- Connect the condensation drainage pipe to the air conditioning casing and attach the retainer.

- Working under the right side of the dashboard, attach the carpet retaining stud.

- Connect the earths.

- Connect the electrical connections for the Air Bag control unit.

- Working in the area of the tunnel, connect the wiring branch to the retainers.

- Connect the electrical connections.

- Position the gear lever surround sound insulation.

- Working on both rear panels, tighten the bolts then fit the retaining stud.
