Carry out a test to locate the wind noise from the bonnet accurately: locate the area where the wind noise is coming from

Move on to Step 2

 

1. The wind noise is coming from the side area of the bonnet

2. The wind noise is coming from the area of the grille

3. The wind noise is coming from the front area of the bonnet

 

1. Check the foam buffers where the bonnet and the wings are matched at the rear. Also check the condition of the weatherstrips and make sure they are correctly fitted

2. Check for the seal between the bonnet and the radiator grille

3. Also check the condition of the front weatherstrip and make sure it is correctly fitted

FLAME BULKHEAD CHECK

Operation

 

 

Check the flame bulkhead. In particular, check:

- the plugs are present;

- the plugs are correctly fitted.

- the bulkhead coupling rubber seals are fitted correctly;

- sealant is properly applied;

- correct installation

 

End of diagnosis

 

Flame bulkhead faulty

 

Restore the flame bulkhead.

With the vehicle moving, noise can be heard coming from the front area of the passenger compartment.
