Replace the anti-reversibility device complete with rod

5 door version;

Check the conformity of the retaining elements for the anti-reversibility device on which the knob is fitted

Move on to Step 3

Retaining elements damaged

Replace the anti-reversibility device

3 door version;

Check for the presence of the sealing washer on the joint connecting rod (the side opposite the knob) by loosening the side cover.

Move on to Step 4

Washer missing (clamps) or incorrectly positioned

Position the washer correctly

5 door version;

Check for the presence of the sealing washer on the joint connecting rod (the side opposite the knob and the side of the knob) by loosening the side cover.

Move on to Step 4

Washer missing (clamps) or incorrectly positioned

Position the washer correctly

Check that the fault is no longer present

End of diagnosis

The fault persists

Replace the backrest assembly
