Refitting

   Op. 7040A24 DASHBOARD CLOSURE LOWER TRIM - R.R.

- Turn the steering wheel until the upper bolt securing the intermediate shaft is accessible via the opening in the EPS control unit.

1. Undo the upper intermediate shaft fixing bolt.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the intermediate shaft (1b).

Keep the steering wheel in the same position until the intermediate shaft is completely refitted.

Removing

1. Place the intermediate shaft (1a) in position and tighten the new fixing bolt (1b) on the steering box pinion to the recommended torque.

1. Tighten the new upper bolt securing the intermediate shaft to the recommended torque.
