Refitting

- Place the car on a lift.

- Position the gear lever in neutral.

- Open the upper gear lever boot closure.

- Protectino the gear lever grip appropriately.

- Disconnect the rear exhaust pipe and move it to one side, referring to

    Op. 1076B20 REAR EXHAUST SILENCER - R + R

1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the position sensor on gear lever.

1. Adjust the clips (1a) and remove the cover (1b) from the gearbox hand lever support.

1. Work on the clip (1a) and remove the guard (1b).

1. Cut the band (1a) and release the gear lever in neutral sensor (1b) from the gear selection cable.

1. Disconnect the ends (1), compress the clips (1b) and remove the gear selection and engagement cables from the support.

1. If required, act on the clips (1a) and remove the neutral position sensor on the gear lever (1b).

Removing

- Engage the wiring of the neutral position sensor on the gear lever with the gear lever mounting.

- Engage the gear selection and engagement cables in the mounting and fit the clips in the cursors.

- Connect the ends of the gear selection and engagement cables to the support levers.

- Connect the neutral position sensor on the gear lever to the gear selection cable, engaging the retaining clip.

- Place the guard for the neutral position sensor in its housing on the gear lever, engaging the retaining clips with the gear selection cable.

- Apply the retaining band for the neutral position sensor on the gear lever to the gear selection cable.

- Place the cover for the gearbox control lever mounting in position and secure with the retaining bands.

- Connect the electrical connection for the neutral position sensor on the gear lever.

- Place the rear exhaust pipe back in position and connect it, with reference to

    Op. 1076B20 REAR EXHAUST SILENCER - R + R

- Remove the guard from the gear lever handle.

- Close the upper part of the gear lever gaiter.

- Try to engage the gears to check the gear selection and engagement cable adjustment.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
