Refitting

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

   Op. 7055B54 PROTECTION/GUARD UNDER ENGINE -R.R.

1. Undo the screw (1a) and remove the timing belt guard (1b).

1. Undo the screws (1a) and the nut (1b) securing the water pump.

1. Using the tool (1a), cut the sealant and remove the water pump (1b).

1. With a suitable tool, remove the sealant residues from the engine block.

1. With a suitable tool, remove the sealant residues from the water pump.

Removing

- Apply a strip of silicone sealant to the contact surfaces between the water pump and the engine block.

1. Place the water pump (1a) in position and tighten the screws (1b) and the nut (1c) to the prescribed torque.

- Place the timing belt guard in its housing and secure it using the relevant screw.
