Refitting

   Op. 1016A10 SOUND-PROOFING COVER - R.R

1. Disconnect the electrical connector of the cylinder no. 4 injector and move the relevant wiring aside.

1. Undo the camshaft protective plug, intake side.

1. Rotate the crankshaft in its normal direction of rotation and fit the camshaft timing tool, intake side.

1. Fit the driven pulley locking tool.

1. Undo the fastenings (1a) and remove the bracket (1b).

1. Undo the nuts (1a) and remove the camshaft seal rear cover (1b) with gasket.

1. Undo the screws (1a) and remove the camshaft gears (1b).

First undo the screw of the intake side gear.

Removing

1. Place the camshaft gears (1a) in their housings and tighten the screws (1b) to the prescribed torque.

Firstly, fit the exhaust side gear; then fit the intake side gear, aligning the (inner and outer) teeth until they are matched with the teeth on the exhaust side gear.

- Place the camshaft seal rear cover in its housing complete with new gasket and tighten the nuts.

- Place the wiring mounting bracket in its housing and tighten the fastenings.

- Remove the tool used for camshaft timing, intake side.

1. Tighten to the prescribed torque the camshaft protective plug, intake side.

- Undo the screw and remove the driven pulley locking tool.

- Disconnect the electrical connector of the cylinder no. 4 injector and engage the relevant wiring.
