Refitting

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

   Op. 7055B54 PROTECTION/GUARD UNDER ENGINE -R.R.

1. Undo the connector (1a) and remove the turbocharger engine oil supply pipe (1b).

1. Undo the rear nut (1a) fixing the heat shield (1b) to the exhaust manifold.

1. Undo the upper nuts(1a) fixing the heat shield (1b) to the exhaust manifold.

1. Undo the stud (1a) using a suitable tool (1b).

1. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield.

Removing

- Place the exhaust manifold heat shield in position.

- Screw in the studs removed previously.

- Tighten the nuts fixing the heat shield to the exhaust manifold.

- Tighten the nuts fixing the heat shield to the exhaust manifold.

1. Tighten the connector (1a) for the oil supply pipe to the turbocharger (1b), complete with new gasket, to the recommended torque.

The connector should be tightened keeping the pipe still. Any movements of more than 3° affect the seal of the connector.
