Test results

With the panel off, lift up the wiper blades and check that the pins are correctly fastened to the arm holders

Move on to Step 1

The arms are not correctly fastened (nut defective or not correctly tightened)

Replace and/or tighten the retaining nut to torque

Check the condition of the windscreen wiper fuse

Move on to Step 2

The fuse has blown

Replace the fuse (and find out what could have caused it to blow)

Following the

 Op. 5050B34 FRONT WINDSCREEN WIPER ARM(S) COMPLETE WITH BLADE - R.R.

remove the blade holder arms and the trim and check the condition of the vehicle wiring connector windscreen wiper and make sure it is correctly fitted

Move on to Step 3

1. Connector damaged

2. Connector not correctly fitted

1. Replace the connector

2. Restore correct connection

Disconnect the connector from the windscreen wiper, switch on the panel and select the various functions using the steering wheel interface, checking the voltage at the wiring terminals (correct voltage at battery terminals 13.5 V).

End of diagnosis

1. The voltage measured is not correct (the wiring is interrupted or the steering wheel interface is not working properly).

2. The voltage measured is the same as that of the battery (windscreen wiper defective)

1. Restore the correct connections and/or replace the steering wheel interface.

2. Move on to Step 4.

Check the following, in order:

- Motor connection to earth;

- Motor power supply line

 See E3020 WINDSCREEN WASH/WIPE

Move on to Step 5

Connection interrupted

Restore the correct connections

Check that the windscreen wiper motor is working properly and, in particular, check the internal electronic device.

End of diagnosis

1. Motor intermittent electronic device faulty.

2. Windscreen wiper motor faulty
