Test results

Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic socket and check for the presence of the following error at the body computer node in active diagnosis

- error B1029

Go to Step 2

1. The detail is open circuit to battery

2. The detail is parameter not plausible

3. The detail is control locked in pressed position

1. Move on to Step 4

2. Move on to Step 4

3. Go to Step 2

Check that the Cruise Control system controls are working properly

Check the continuity of the K line connecting the cruise control lever with the body computer

Go to Step 3

1. No continuity for lever contacts

2. Incorrect operation of engine management control unit

3. K line broken/short circuited

1.Replace the steering wheel interface assembly

 Op. 5550A10 STALK UNIT ASSEMBLY - R+R

2. Replace the engine management control unit

 Op. 1056B82 INJECTION/IGNITION SYSTEM E.C.U. (ONE) - R + R

3.Restore the continuity/insulation

Check that the cruise control lever connector is correctly supplied

Go to Step 4

Earth supply signal interrupted

Restore the correct connection

 See E5060 CRUISE CONTROL

Check the electrical continuity of the wiring between the cruise control system control and the body computer

Go to Step 5

No continuity

Restore the correct connections

 See E5060 CRUISE CONTROL

Check the correct operation of the CAN using the Examiner

End of diagnosis

1. CAN connections defective

2. Body Computer defective

1. Restore the correct connections

2. Replace the body computer
