With the engine cold, carry out a check on the calibration of the excess pressure valve proceeding as follows:

- Remove the sound insulation cover on the engine.

- Remove the heat shield cover on the turbine

- Disconnect the connecting pipe (1) with the supercharging pressure adjustment solenoid valve from the valve

- Fit tool n.° 2000024800 (3) on the waste gate valve rod

- Fit a dial gauge so that it can touch the end of the tool

- Set the dial gauge to zero.

- Connect the vacuum pump n.° 2000015500 (2) to the excess pressure valve.

- Introduce a pressure of 0.295±0.015 bar using the pump and check that the rod travel on the dial gauge corresponds to 2 ±0.1 mm

- Discharge the pressur and starting from zero, introduce a pressure of 0.330±0.015 bar using the pump and check that the rod travel on the dial gauge corresponds to 4 ±0.1 mm

Discharge the pressure and restore the operation of the turbocharger.

Replace the turbocharger
