DESCRIPTIONThe vehicle is equipped with a white reverse light located in the rear bumper, on the right (on the left on right hand drive versions). It is activated each time reverse gear is engaged: this information is received - on versions with manual gearbox - through a switch located on the outside of the gearbox casing. The reversing lights circuit is supplied by an ignition-operated relay and protected by a dedicated fuse in the Body Computer. The reverse engagement signal is also sent to the steering column switch unit for the automatic operation of the rear window wiper, to the electrochromic rear view mirror and to the Powertrain Control Module; in addition via the CAN to the Body Computer which forwards this information to the parking sensor control unit etc. See E3021 REAR WINDOW WASH/WIPE |
