 Removing ( Refitting )

1. Open the dashboard compartment.

1. Release the end of travel retainers (1a) for the dashboard compartment.

2. Disconnect the dashboard compartment travel limiting link end (2a).

3. Lower the dashboard compartment.

APPLIES TO VERSIONS WITH: Right-hand drive

1. Remove the rivets using a drill.

2. Using a drift and a hammer, remove the bolts without heads.

Work carefully to avoid excessive vibration.

3. Remove the wiring cover.

Refitting ( Removing )

APPLIES TO VERSIONS WITH: Right-hand drive

- Check that the wiring cover is not damaged.

- Position the wiring cover.

- Screw in and tighten the new special bolts until the heads shear off.

- Fit the rivets.

- Raise the dashboard compartment and connect the compartment travel limiting link end.

- Engage the compartment end of travel retainers.

- Close the glove compartment.
