Refitting

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

   Op. 7055B54 PROTECTION/GUARD UNDER ENGINE -R.R.

1. Loosen the bands and disconnect the waste-gate solenoid pipes.

1. Undo the nuts (1a) and remove the exhaust manifold-turbocharger assembly (1b).

Do not use the actuator rod for lifting the turbocharger or any movements in the workshop.

1. Remove the exhaust manifold gasket.

- Place the turbocharger and exhaust manifold assembly in a vice fitted with protective jaws.

1. Undo the nuts (1a) and remove the turbocharger (1b) from the exhaust manifold.

- Remove the gasket.

Removing

- Fit a new gasket on the turbocharger.

1. Place the turbocharger assembly (1a) in its housing and secure it by tightening the new nuts (1b) to the prescribed torque.

- Fit the new exhaust manifold gasket on the cylinder head studs.

1. Place the turbocharger and exhaust manifold assembly (1a) in its housing and tighten the nuts (1b) to the prescribed torque.

- Connect the waste-gate solenoid valve pipes and tighten the bands.
