1. Undo the screw (1a) fixing the engine oil dipstick pipe (1b) to the camshaft housing. |
  |
1. Undo the nuts (1a) and remove the wiring bracket (1b). |
  |
1. Undo the screw (1a) and remove heat shield (1b). |
  |
1. Undo the protective caps for the screws securing the camshaft housing. |
  |
1. Unscrew the camshaft housing fastening screws with the tool shown in the figure.
|
  |
1. Slightly lift the camshaft housing (1a), fit the tappet retaining tools (1b) and then remove it.
|
  |
1. Remove the camshaft housing locating bushes. 2. Remove the camshaft housing gasket. |
|

Refitting

- Place a new camshaft housing gasket in its seat and the locating bushes. - Place the camshaft housing in position. - Remove the tappet retaining tool.
|
  |
1. Tighten the camshaft housing fixing screws (1a) to the prescribed torque using the tool (1b).
|
  |
1. Tighten the protective caps complete with new O-rings to the prescribed torque.
|
|
|
- Position the camshaft housing heat shield in its housing and secure it using the screw. |
|
|
- Fit the wiring bracket in position and tighten the nuts. - Tighten the upper screw securing the camshaft housing engine oil dipstick tube. |
|
|

- Remove the vehicle from the lift. |
|

- Tighten the screw fastening the oil dipstick tube to the cylinder head extension. |
