DESCRIPTIONThe EPS (Electrical Power Steering) is a power assisted steering device designed to reduce the effort required for steering the vehicle by using the torque from an electric motor. An electronic control unit manages and controls the system: by processing the input information and using a pre-programmed operating logic, the control unit determines the direction of rotation and the supply current for the electric motor, producing the desired servo-assistance effect. It is possible to alter the level of power assistance for the electric steering through the ALFA dan system settings. An electric power steering failure warning light is present on the instrument panel. For more details See descriptions 4110 STEERING CONTROL AND LINKAGE . The control unit supply lines are protected by two dedicated fuses in the engine compartment junction unit. |
