DESCRIPTIONThe boot opening geared motor is operated by: - the remote control; - the button on the tailgate handle. Operation through the remote control takes place in two ways. - independently of the doors: there is a dedicated button on the remote control that allows only the boot to be unlocked: the boot is released and lifts up slightly. The operation is signalled by the direction indicators flashing twice; when it is closed again the boot returns to the status prior to opening. - together and at the same time as the unlocking of the doors: the tailgate is considered a third door to all intents and purposes: for the control logic. The instrument panel acquires the door status signal via the CAN and lights up the doors open warning light and, at the same time, the specific "boot open" information is shown on the display; in addition, if one of the doors is open and the speed of the vehicle exceeds around 4 km/h, an acoustic warning is also emitted. A special setup in the instrument panel can be used to activate or exclude the Autoclose function, i.e. the automatic central locking whilst the vehicle is moving. This function allows the automatic locking of the doors and the boot to be activated when the speed exceeds 20 km/h. The doors and the boot are automatically unlocked if the FPS is operated: the instrument panel receives an impact signal from the Air Bag control unit, lights up the warning light and notifies the Body Computer via the CAN. The boot locking/unlocking circuit is protected by a specific fuse, located in the Body Computer. |
