Refitting

- Position the vehicle on a lift and raise.

   Op. 7055B56 RIGHT SIDE UNDER-ENGINE PROTECTION/GUARD

1. Undo the bolts securing the lock.

2. Move the lock (2a) slightly aside and disconnect retainer (2b) and then the end retainer (2c) from the control cable (2d).

1. Release the front-end retainer and disconnect the electrical connection (1a) for the connection cable to the bonnet lid lock.

2. Remove the bonnet lid lock, complete with wiring and microswitch.

- Check that the the bonnet lid lock with wiring and microswitch is not damaged.

- Place the bonnet lid lock, complete with wiring and microswitch in position.

- Connect the electrical connection then engage it with the front-end retainer.

1. Connect the connection cable (1a) to the end terminal (1b) and the the retainer (1c) of the lock.

2. Position the lock.

3. Screw in the lock retaining bolts without tightening them.

4. Adjust the position of the lock.

The arrows indicate the possible movements.

5. Tighten the lock retaining bolts to the recommended torque.

- Check that the bonnet lid is correctly attached and opens and closes properly.
