Removing ( Refitting )

- Remove the passenger seat.

   Op. 7045B10 FRONT SEAT HEAD RESTRAINT, LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.

1. Working on the electrical connection (1a) for the seat, cut the wiring retaining band (1b).

2. Use a screwdriver to release the retainer (2a), then withdraw the cover (2b) in the direction of the arrow.

1. Extract the retainer (1a) to the end of its travel.

2. Extract the retainer (2a) to the end of its travel.

1. Use the special tool (2000018613) (1a) to release the side retainers (1b) then extract the relevant electrical half-connection (1c).

1. Working on the lower side of the cushion, disconnect the retainers (1a) for the passenger presence sensor wiring (1b).

- Remove the cushion heater pad.

    Op. 7045M22 HEATER PAD FOR FRONT SEAT CUSHION, LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R. FOLLOWING ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT CHECK

1. Working on the cushion upholstery, remove the passenger presence sensor (1a) detaching the adhesive strip (1b) from the adhesive (1c) for the upholstery (1d).

Detach the adhesive strip (1b) carefully, taking care not to also detach parts of the upholstery (1d); if some is accidentally removed, it should be replaced.

2. Extract the sensor wiring (2a) from the opening (2b) for the upholstery.

3. Keep the passenger presence sensor and wiring.

Refitting ( Removing )

- Check that the passenger presence sensor is not damaged.

1. If the sensor removed previously is being reused, apply spray adhesive for plastics to the adhesive area (1a) after having fitted protection on the remaining parts of the sensor (1b).

2. If a new sensor is being used, remove the protective film for the adhesive section (1a).

The protective film should not be detached until the time of the sticking.

3. If the upholstery (3a) removed previously is being reused, apply spray adhesive for plastics to the adhesive area (3b) after having fitted protection on the remaining parts of the upholstery.

4. If a new upholstery is being used, remove the protective film for the adhesive section (3b).

The protective film should not be detached until the time of the sticking.

5. Insert the wiring (5a) in the opening (5b).

6. Place the sensor (1b) in position centering it on the references (6a).

Attach the adhesive strip (1a) to the adhesive (3b) for the upholstery.

    Op. 7045M22 HEATER PAD FOR FRONT SEAT CUSHION, LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R. FOLLOWING ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT CHECK

- Working on the lower side of the cushion, connect the retainers for the passenger presence sensor wiring.

- Insert the electrical half-connection in its seat and do up the side retainers.

- Insert the retainers to the end of their travel in reverse order to the removal.

- Insert the seat electrical connection cover and do up the retainer.

- Fit the wiring retaining band.
