Removing ( Refitting )

- Remove the head restraints.

   Op. 7050B12 REAR SEAT HEAD RESTRAINT - R.R.

   Op. 7050A42 REAR BACKREST CATCH DEVICE (ONE) - R+R

1. Unscrew the bolts.

2. Remove the trim (2a) releasing it from the seat belt (2b) via the slit (2c).

1. Remove the trim for the handle (1a) releasing the inner retainers (1b).

- Fold the backrest over.

1. Working on the attachment device trim, release the covers (1a) and open them.

2. Unscrew the bolts.

3. Remove the fastening device trim.

1. Working on the retainer holder trim, undo the bolt.

2. Remove the retainer holder trim.

1. Remove the end parts (1a) of the zip fastener (1b).

2. Extract the end parts (2a) of the zip fastener (2b).

3. Extract the end part (3a) of the zip fastener (3b).

4. Using pliers, remove the clips (4a) from the ends (1a) and (2a) of the zip fasteners.

5. Open the zip fastenings (1b) and (2b) along their entire length.

6. Open the zip fastening (3b) along its entire length using the cursor (6a).

1. Release the retaining profile for the end (1a) of the cover from its seat (1b) in the structure.

1. Fold the backrest over and lift up the cover and upholstery (1a) from the frame (1b).

1. Release the retainers (1a) and extract all the head restraint guide bushes (1b) from the backrest structure.

2. Remove the backrest cover with padding.

- If necessary, separate the backrest cover from the padding as described below.

1. Release the cover (1a) releasing it from the perimeter of the upholstery (1b).

2. Use cutters to cut all the backrest cover front retaining rings.

3. Separate the cover (1a) from the padding (1b).

Refitting ( Removing )

- Check that the backrest cover is not damaged.

- If removed, place the backrest cover on the padding and attach the retaining rings using special pliers.

Mould the cover on the padding during the various refitting stages.

- Prise up the cover around the perimeter of the padding.

- Position the backrest cover and padding on the backrest frame.

- Place all the head restraint guide bushes in the structure and attach the retainers.

The head restraint bushes have different retainers and engagement seats.

- Lower the cover and padding on the frame.

- Fold the backrest over.

1. Attach the retaining profile for the end (1a) of the cover to its seat (1b) in the structure.

1. Close the zip fastening (1a) along its entire length using the cursor (1b).

2. Close the zip fastenings (2a) and (2b) using the cursor in repair kit 51704742,

Remove the cursor and fit the retaining clips (2c) at the ends of the zip fasteners.

3. Fit the ends (3a) (3b) (3c) of the zip fasteners inside the cover.

- Position the retainer holder trim and tighten the bolt.

- Position the attachment device trim and tighten the bolts.

- Close the covers and attach the retainers.

- Fold the backrest over.

- Position the trim for the handle and attach the inner retainers.

- Attach the trim to the seat belt through the slot, then place it in position.

- Screw in the bolts.
