- Remove the left kick plate. Op. 7040L40 FRONT DOOR RUNNING BOARD (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R. |

- Remove the wiper arms. |

1. Working in the area of the front windscreen wiper, cut the band (1a) retaining the control cable (1b) on the bulkhead seal (1c). 2. Disconnect the control cable (1b) from the retainers (2a). 3. Fit a probe to the end of the control cable (1b), located in the passenger compartment (the end connected to the bonnet release lever). 4. Extract the control cable from the engine compartment side leaving the probe in its place (to be used to refit the control cable during the refitting stage). |

- Check that the control cable is not damaged. - Refit the control cable in place using the probe left during the removal stage. - Connect the control cable to the retainers. - Fit the control cable retaining band on the bulkhead seal. |
