Removing ( Refitting )

- Drain the section of the pipe from the tank to the LPG pressure regulator and from the latter to the LPG injectors, following the procedures and the instructions below

   Op. 1043A02 LPG SYSTEM LINES PIPE DRAINING OPERATIONS

- Return the vehicle to the workshop (in petrol operation mode) and place it on a lift.

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

    Op. 7055B54 PROTECTION/GUARD UNDER ENGINE -R.R.

    Op. 0010T20 ENGINE COOLANT - CHANGE

1. Undo the screws (1a) and move the engine coolant reservoir (1b) to one side.

- Mark the position of the air and engine coolant pipes to be disconnected as below described.

1. Loosen the bands and disconnect the vacuum pipe from intake chamber to LPG pressure regulator, pressure regulator side.

2. Loosen the bands and disconnect the engine coolant inlet/outlet pipes from the LPG pressure regulator.

1. Loosen the band and disconnect the pipe from LPG filter to injectors, LPG filter side.

2. Undo the connector for the supply pipe from tank to LPG pressure regulator, LPG pressure regulator side.

3. Disconnect the electrical connection for the LPG cut out solenoid valve.

1. Undo the screws (1a) and remove the LPG pressure regulator (1b) complete with mounting.

1. Loosen the band and release the LPG pressure regulator mounting bracket.

1. Undo the screw and remove the LPG pressure regulator pipe mounting bracket.

1. Undo the nut and remove the filter from the LPG pressure regulator mounting bracket.

Refitting ( Removing )

- Refit the LPG filter in place and tighten the nut to the prescribed torque.

- Position the pipe retaining bracket on the LPG pressure regulator and tighten the screw.

- Connect the pressure regulator to the LPG filter hose and tighten the band.

- Tighten the screw fixing the LPG pressure regulator to the mounting bracket to the prescribed torque.

   

- Place the pressure pump mounting complete with LPG pressure regulator in its housing and tighten the screws to the prescribed torque.

       

- Connect the electrical connection for the LPG cut out solenoid valve.

- Tighten the connector for the supply pipe from tank to LPG pressure regulator, LPG pressure regulator side, to the prescribed torque.

   

- Connect the pipe from LPG filter to injectors, LPG filter side and tighten the band.

Maintain a distance of 3 - 5 mm between the band and the end of the pipe.

- Connect the engine coolant inlet/outlet pipes to LPG pressure regulator and tighten the bands.

Maintain a distance of 3 - 5 mm between the bands and the ends of the pipe.

- Connect the vacuum pipes from intake chamber to LPG pressure regulator, pressure regulator side, and tighten the bands.

Maintain a distance of 3 - 5 mm between the bands and the ends of the pipe.

- Fit the engine cooling supply reservoir in place and secure it using the screws.

- Connect the negative battery terminal.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

2. Open the band and disconnect the LPG overpressure pipe, regulator side.

Refitting ( Removing )

- Place the LPG pressure regulator back in its housing.

- Connect the LPG overpressure pipe to the pressure regulator and tighten the band.

Maintain a distance of 3 - 5 mm between the band and the end of the pipe.

- Connect the vacuum pipe from chamber to LPG pressure regulator, regulator side and tighten the band.

Maintain a distance of 3 - 5 mm between the band and the end of the pipe.

- Connect the engine coolant inlet/outlet pipes to LPG pressure regulator and tighten the bands.

Maintain a distance of 3 - 5 mm between the bands and the ends of the pipe.

- Close the retaining clip for the engine coolant inlet/outlet pipes.

- Connect the pipe from pressure regulator to LPG filter, regulator side, then tighten the band.

Maintain a distance of 3 - 5 mm between the band and the end of the pipe.

- Close the retaining clip for the pipe from pressure regulator to LPG filter.

1. Apply a drop of lubricating oil on the thread of the connector for the supply pipe from tank to LPG pressure regulator side and tighten to the prescribed torque.

1. Tighten the screws fixing the LPG pressure regulator to the mounting bracket to the prescribed torque.

2. Close the two retaining clips for the supply pipe from tank to LPG pressure regulator, located on the regulator mounting bracket.

- Fit the engine coolant reservoir in place and secure it using the bolts.

DO NOT OPERATE THE SCREW ON THE PRESSURE REGULATOR, SHOWN IN THE FIGURE, IN ANY WAY. CALIBRATION IS CARRIED OUT AT BENCH BY THE SUPPLIER, WHO IS THE ONLY PARTY AUTHORISED TO DO SO BECAUSE ANY ADJUSTMENT ON THE SCREW CHANGES LPG PRESSURE IN THE SYSTEM, WITH THE FOLLOWING RISK OF COMPROMISING OPERATION OF THE SYSTEM ITSELF

- Close the retaining clip for the engine coolant inlet/outlet pipes.

- Connect the pipe from pressure regulator to LPG filter, regulator side, then tighten the band.

Maintain a distance of 3 - 5 mm between the band and the end of the pipe.

- Close the retaining clip for the pipe from pressure regulator to LPG filter.
