Removing ( Refitting )

Before removing and refitting the sensor the following preliminary operations must be carried out.

- Turn the ignition key to the OFF position and extract it.

- Disconnect the battery.

   Op. 7040L40 FRONT DOOR RUNNING BOARD (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.

   Op. 7040H38 CENTRE PILLAR UPPER ELEMENT (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R

   Op. 7040H80 REAR PARCEL SHELF - R.R.

   Op. 7040H66 LEFT REAR SIDE TRIM, WITH REAR PARCEL SHELF SUPPORT - R.R.

- Or, alternatively.

   Op. 7040H67 RIGHT REAR SIDE TRIM, WITH REAR PARCEL SHELF SUPPORT - R.R.

   Op. 7050A19 REAR SEAT BACKREST - R.R

   Op. 7040H50 REAR PANEL (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT - R.R.

1. Undo the screw (1a) and move the side bag sensor (1b), releasing the striker (1c).

2. Disconnect the electrical connection.

3. Keep the Side Bag sensor.

 Refitting ( Removing )

- Check that the Side Bag sensor is not damaged.

1. Connect the electrical connection.

2. Place sensor (2a) in position and engage the striker (2b).

3. Do up the screw and tighten it to the prescribed torque.
