Refitting

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

   Op. 5530B10 BATTERY - R+R

1. Undo the connector for the coolant supply pipe to the engine oil heat exchanger, thermostat side.

2. Loosen the band and disconnect the radiator coolant supply pipe, thermostat side.

3. Disconnect the degassing pipe rapid connector.

1. Detach the electrical connection for the engine coolant temperature sensor.

2. Loosen the band and disconnect the heater supply pipe.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the thermostat (1b).

1. Remove the O-ring from the thermostat.

2. If necessary, undo the coolant temperature sensor and remove it.

Removing

- Fit a new O-Ring in the groove on the thermostat.

1. Fit the thermostat (1a) in place and tighten the bolts (1b) to the recommended torque.

- Connect the supply pipe to the heater and tighten the band.

- Connect the electrical connection for the engine coolant temperature sensor.

1. Tighten the connector for the engine oil heat exchanger coolant supply pipe complete with new gaskets and tighten to the recommended torque.

The connector should be tightened keeping the pipe still. Any movements of more than 3° affect the seal of the connector.

2. Connect the coolant supply pipe to the radiator and tighten the band.

3. Connect the degassing pipe rapid connector.
