Sensor wiring check

  • Check the continuity of the wiring between the sensor and the engine control unit

Go to Step 2

  

Restore the wiring between the engine control unit and the sensor

Replace the engine management control unit

Check on operation of temperature sensor

  • Disconnect the negative battery lead

  • Remove the sensor and submerge the sensitive part in water.

  • Heat the water gradually and measure the resistance between the terminals.

  • Check that the sensor specifications correspond to the ones below.

  

Replace the water temperature sensor
