Refitting

- Place the vehicle on a lift.

   Op. 7055B54 PROTECTION/GUARD UNDER ENGINE -R.R.

1. Unscrew the bolts (1a) securing the catalytic converter mounting bracket (1b), engine block side.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the catalytic converter mounting bracket (1b).

2. Undo the nuts fixing the catalytic converter to the front exhaust pipe.

- Proceed with the removal of the front exhaust pipe, with reference to

    Op. 1076B72 INTERMEDIATE EXHAUST PIPE WITH HOSE SECTION - R+R

1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the upper Lambda sensor.

2. Undo and remove the upper Lambda sensor.

3. Undo the nuts (3a) and remove the catalytic converter (3b).

- Keep the gaskets.

Removing

1. Place the catalytic converter (1a) in its housing complete with new gasket sand tighten the new nuts (1b) to the recommended torque.

2. Position the upper Lambda sensor and tighten it to the recommended torque.

3. Connect the electrical connection for the upper Lambda sensor.

- Connect the front section of the front exhaust pipe to the centre exhaust pipe, with reference to

    Op. 1076B72 INTERMEDIATE EXHAUST PIPE WITH HOSE SECTION - R+R

1. Fit the catalytic converter mounting bracket (1a) in place and tighten the bolts (1b) securing it to the crankcase to the recommended torque.

1. Tighten the bolts (1a) fixing the catalytic converter mounting bracket (1b), catalytic converter side to the recommended torque.

2. Tighten the nuts fixing the catalytic converter to the front exhaust pipe to the recommended torque.
