Cancels and replaces the following Service News: • SN 10.08.13 of 21.8.2013 for Part Availability table upgrade. • SN 10.12.14 of 12/12/2014 for Warranty Claim table update.

CLAIMED FAULT

The Customer complains of one or more of the following faults:

• The injection system/engine control failure warning light switches on.
• Failed switching to LPG or switching back to petrol.

The analysis with the diagnosis equipment shows the presence of one or more of the following errors:

• P0191 - rail gas pressure sensor.
• P1080 - rail gas temperature sensor.

TECHNICAL CAUSE

Irregular operation of the temperature and pressure sensor on LPG injector unit.

OPERATIONS AT THE DEALERSHIPS

DEALERSHIP BEHAVIOUR STANDARDS TOWARDS THE CUSTOMER

• Once the Customer's claimed fault is confirmed, reassure the Customer that the fault will be solved by replacing the LPG temperature and pressure sensor.
• After the operation, show the Customer what has been done and make sure he is satisfied.

Service Solution

Once the customer's claimed fault is confirmed, replace the LPG temperature and pressure sensor according to the Operating Cycle below.

Before replacing the sensor, check if the vehicle chassis number is involved by Campaign 5789 and implement it this was not done before.

OPERATION CYCLE

Proceeding as described in Op. 1057B70 of the Service Manual, replace the LPG temperature and pressure sensor with a new one taken from the Spare Parts Dpt.

Strictly comply with the safety prescriptions in case of operations on LPG system, with reference to the instructions of the specific paragraphs of the Service Manual and the Service News 10.27.10.
