FAULT COMPLAINED OF

Irregular operation with LPG supply and switching-on of engine injection/control system failure warning light.

TECHNICAL CAUSE

LPG injector fouling due to an incorrect fuel filtering.

OPERATIONS IN NETWORK

Network behaviour standards towards the Customer

• Once the customer's claimed fault is confirmed, reassure the Customer that the fault will be solved by replacing the LPG injectors and the fuel filter.
• After the intervention, show the Customer what has been done and make sure he is satisfied.

Service Solution

Once the customer's claimed fault is confirmed, replace the LPG injector unit and the LPG filter according to the Operating Cycle below.

OPERATION CYCLE

Strictly comply with the safety prescriptions in case of operations on LPG system, with reference to the instructions of the paragraphs of the Service Manual and the Service News 10.27.10.

On the above Euro 4 vehicles only, support the LPG injector assembly and the LPG filter (Fig. 1) with new parts from the Spare Parts Dpt. according the following procedures of the Service Manual

• Op. 1057B60 for LPG fuel filter replacement
• Op. 1057B66 for LPG injector assembly replacement

Always remember that it is strictly forbidden to use any additive in the LPG. Additives could cause faults and malfunctioning in the vehicle LPG system in the worst cases. The warranty does not cover faults partly or totally caused by such additives, or even worsened by them.
