Cancels and replaces SN 21.01.05 of 11/02/2005 for the introduction of new codes inside C510 type gearboxes.

OPERATIONS IN PRODUCTION

Inside C510, C514, C514R and C530 type gearboxes a "Secret Code" formed by six digits (e.g. 409237) has been added. This code is stamped inside the gearbox casing in the arrowed position in Fig. 1.

At the end of this document you will find the list of models / engines involved at the date of issue of this Service News.

For C510 gearboxes only, in addition to the "Secret Code" stamped inside the gearbox casing, two other different "Secret Codes" formed by four digits can be found. They are stamped respectively:

OPERATIONS IN NETWORK

If any intervention involving the gearbox casing removal and work inside it must be made, the Claim Form must compulsorily show also the code, as follows:

Only for C510 gearboxes, also for operations involving:

if the "Secret Code" is found, it must be written on the Claim Form as above described.

If both components are removed, write on the Claim Form only one code.

If an operation is to be performed on a gearbox without any "Secret Code" inside, no code must be added to the Claim Form.
