Service Solution

Once the customer's claimed fault is confirmed, make sure that the noise is due to incorrect lubrication of window winder mechanisms.

Lubricate the window winder mechanisms, according to the Operating Cycle below.

OPERATION CYCLE

Lower the window glass by about 15 mm;

-Remove the door internal side panel, with reference to Op. 7005E10 of the Service Manual.-Remove the door water weatherstrip, with reference to Op. 7005A04 of the Service Manual.

Do not loosen the motor fasteners and the glass guides to prevent modifying the position of the mechanism and the tightening torques.

Using a mirror, identify the engagement position of the flexible cable (1), shown in Fig. 1.

Fig. 1

    Lubricate with a brush, applying grease (*) (ISOFLEX® TOPAS L 32N or similar), in the point shown in Fig. 2, the control flexible cable engagement area (1).

    After greasing, rotate the terminal (A) for a few revolutions, in both directions, to distribute grease evenly.

    (*) grease should always feature a high resistance to water, to aging and oxidation; its application range should be from -40°C to 80°C.

    The illustration shows the window winder mechanism removed for explanation purposes.
