-When this problem is reported and confirmed, reassure the customer that it can be solved by replacing the coil cap with a new improved one.-After the operation show the customer what has been done and make sure they are satisfied.

Service Solution

If this problem is reported, replace the coil cap following the instructions in the Operating Cycle below.

OPERATION CYCLE

-Remove the lamp concerned as described in the appropriate procedure (Op. 5540D10) in the Service Manual.-Remove the cover and let any water in the lamp drain off, placing it with the cover opening facing downwards.-Dry the inside of the lamp with an air jet or a bodywork drier set to a maximum temperature of 60°C.-Remove the pre-modifiction coil cap (2) from the cover (1 - Fig. 1) and fit the new post-modification coil cap (3).

-Refit the cover (1 - Fig. 1) on the fog light, then refit it on the vehicle as described in the relevant procedure (Op. 5540D10) in the Service Manual.
