145 - MiTo   1.4 16v TJet   1st lev. driver's Airbag resist.   B0103

To apply this procedure, the following must be borne in mind:

1 - Measurements cannot be taken on the Air Bag wiring

2 - System fault diagnosis should be started leaving the vehicle loads connected

3 - The fault should be 'Present' or 'Present Intermittently' and not 'Intermittent'. If the fault is Intermittent then the procedure is not applicable; proceed with an accurate check on the line where the fault was signalled

4 - Not all the simulation sensors are available (e.g. side impact sensors).

The airbag fault warning light is controlled by a dedicated connection to the airbag control unit Instrument Panel Node.

The Air Bag wiring is a safety component. If there are problems with the cables or the connectors then the wiring should be replaced in its entirety.
